Product Information

El Dorado is a range of Demerara rums produced in Guyana. Established in 1992, the brand has won many awards and fans worldwide, with rums ranging from three to 21 years of age; and the 15 Year Old proving especially popular. Unlike solera-aged rums, the age statement relates to the youngest rum in the bottle.

Guyanan rums are very fruity and rich – among the fullest in body of all Caribbean rums. The area is known for the famed Demerara River, around which grow the finest sugar canes.

El Dorado 8yo is a brilliantly versatile rum that works well in a luxury Mojito or Rum Old-Fashioned, but is also delicious on the rocks or sipped slowly. A terrific all-rounder.

Tasting Notes

Light to medium-bodied nose with hints of tobacco mixed with caramel toffee. Faint aroma of dried stone fruits and flambee banana. Soft and faintly sweet mouthfeel with traces of oak and butterscotch. Distinctly smooth.
