We've just taken delivery of some Musar!

If you have never tried Musar then we suggest you school yourself. There's nothing quite like it.

The Bekaa valley has been home to vineyards for over 6000 years and Musar has been making wine for 90 of those years.

While they officially received Organic certification in 2006 they have been actually been operating organically since the 1930s. On top of this all the wines are produced 100% naturally. They are hand picked, ambient yeasts do the fermentation work, and nothing is added or taken away from the wine, so expect some sediment.

Each Musar Red contains Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan and Cinsault and each year these grapes are blended to express the characteristics of that vintage. The wines are aged in French oak and then cement tanks before being rested in the bottles for 4 years, The total time between harvest and bottle release is 7 years!

While each vintage varies you can always expect very bold and complex aromas and tastes from these wines.
