This is a family operated winery in Tattendorf/Thermenregion, which is in lower Austria. Johanna, Franz and Stefan’s farm includes about 30 hectares of vineyards. The vineyard is strictly organic and the main varieties are St.Laurent, Pinot Noir, Zweigelt (red) and Gr. Veltliner, Gemischter Satz, Rotgipfler (white). The family are members of the group called “die burgundermacher”, which literally translated means “the burgundy makers”.
Organically farmed, quality orientated low yield vineyards.
Hand-vintage and berry sorting, then traditionally vinified in oak barrel for 6-8 months.
Deep red ruby garnet, velvety and harmonious on the palate; very fruity with fine tannins.
A great wine with pasta, pizza or with a light lunch. Alternatively chill it down as a nice alternative to rose on a warm summer's day
