The origin of the domain goes back to the 18th century. In this period, only some small part of parcel are worked, this during several generations. 300 years will have been necessary to see settling down the Ambroise family in Premeaux-Prissey, small village near Nuits-Saint-Georges. In 1987, Bertrand Ambroise takes back the domain. Fascinated by the work of the vine and lover of the wine, he develops the domain which reaches now approximately 21 hectares and brings it his personality. Since 2013, the domain have the certification about organic farming (certified by Ecocert). They are a family fascinated by the vine and the wine because they work, Bertrand, Martine, Ludivine and Francois, in one and the same aim "your pleasure".
Lettre d'Eloise Pinot Noir is grown on flat land, with brown clay and limestone.
100% aged in 400L barrels 2-5 year old. For 10 months. No fining nor filtration.
Plum, smoke, firm tannins, nice purity, slightly astringent and palate-cleansing, it is unapologetically dry and focused. Nice finish with purity of fruit and flavours. A very honestly-made, country wine style.
