The Chase family farm is in Herefordshire, a county that boasts some of the richest farmland in the world. On the farm they grow King Edward, Lady Claire and Lady Rosetta potatoes.
Having the distillery located on the farm allows them to keep a watchful eye over how the potatoes and apples move from field to bottle. It"„¢s this field to bottle approach that makes Chase different, something you can taste in their award-winning spirits.
Chase believe in a truly sustainable approach to farming and creating spirits, which is why they let nothing go to waste. Chase generate their own energy from an on site bio-boiler, Huxley; which is powered using the prunings from the apple orchards, all of the potato waste goes to fertilise the fields or feed the farms herd of pedigree Hereford cattle, and wherever possible, the fresh ingredients used in Chase"„¢s products are sourced on site, on the family farm or from local Herefordshire suppliers. As farmers at heart, Chase value the countryside, every inch of it, from field to bottle.
Seville Marmalade Gin is carefully crafted by copper pot distilling the GB gin with an abundance of Seville orange peels.
Seville Orange! Juniper, juniper berries, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, almond, coriander, cardamom, cloves, liquorice and lemon.
Nose: Well Seville oranges feature pretty heavily without disguising the other aromas of juniper, earthy roots and a gentle herbaceous quality.
Palate: A palate tingling burst of Seville Orange skin followed by floral juniper then fresh squeezed orange juice.
Finish: The finish is long for a gin with the notes of orange oils lingering after the other botanicals fade away.
Makes a fantastically intense Negroni.
Premium tonic garnished with an orange wedge.
