Compagnie des Indes are a French independent bottlers who advocate for the authentic taste of rum, which means a lot more than being “sweet”. These rums each represent their respective country of origin, a terroir, and inspire by their diversity of flavours.
Compagnie des Indes rums are produced with great care. The idea was brought to life in memory of the former East India Company from the seventeenth and eighteenth century that selected rare commodities from distant continents and imported them to their countries. Like them, Compagnie Des Indies select only the best quality rums from all over the world and import these to Europe.
Whether single casks or carefully selected blends – the company always focus on bringing out the character and qualities of each local origin. Except for a few of their blended rums, which the company call, “our rums for beginners” the products do not contain any added sugar. The aim is to deliver rum that tastes like rum with all its edgy characteristics – or as they say: “simply wonderful rum.”
