Established in 1970, Finlandia is a range of barley-based vodkas distilled in the Finnish village of Koskenkorva.
Finlandia was established in 1970 and based in the village of Koskenkorva. Distilled from Finnish-grown six-row barley and glacial spring water. The barley is distilled into a neutral spirit using a continuous multi-pressure distillation system. The brand has many flavoured variants including mango, cranberry and grapefruit.
The distilled alcohol is then transported to a production facility in the village of Rajamäki, about 28 miles north of Helsinki. The water in every bottle of Finlandia has a single origin in a glacial spring that was discovered in 1888 in the Rajamaki area of Southern Finland. The pure glacial spring water is naturally filtered through moraine formed during the Ice Age which gives it an astonishing purity. The water is combined with the finest six-row barley to make Finlandia. The magic ingredient is the unique weather caused by Finland's Midnight Sun. For approximately 73 days over the summer months every year the sun never sets providing exceptional and constant growing conditions for six-row barley. The harsh cold winters also remove all of the earth's impurities.
Neutral aroma with a hint of white pepper and vanilla notes. The clean palate showcases cracked black pepper, barley bread and toasted nuts. The finish leaves you with light black pepper
