Franck Massard, esteemed sommelier and co-producer of the wines strives to produce top end Priorats that combine complexity and elegance with minimum handling.
Everything began in 2004 when Franck and an old friend decided to acquire a vineyard in Spain's Priorat region and transform their dream into reality. As sommeliers, they wanted to learn more about production. Their first harvest was just 500 bottles and they quickly found out that developing fine wines requires skill, patience and hard work but they were delighted with their first wine, Huellas.
Visiting wine regions across Spain, they discovered extraordinary unknown vineyards and met farmers with an amazing sense of nature. Franck's passion grew and he started to create new wines from lesser known regions like Ribeira Sacra, Terra Alta, and Valdeorras, wines with a real sense of place.

Franck believes all good wine starts in the vineyard and as such he devotes huge amounts of time to making sure the vines are in balance with the local ecosystem, employing organic viticulture and caring meticulously to ensure good biodiversity. Vineyards in altitude located at El Molar and Mas Roig for Carignan grapes and at Marçà for Grenache grapes.
100% destemmed grapes undergo traditional alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 14 days in order to obtain a balance of structure, fruits and freshness. 20% of the wine is later aged in used oak for an average of 6 months.
El Brindis is packed with red and black fruit, displaying herbal scents of thyme and eucalyptus and some toasty spice.
