From a standing start in 2000 Cramele Recas has established itself as one of Eastern Europe's most impressive wineries turning over €20m. Their 960 hectares harbour 19 grape varieties including traditional styles such as Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc as well as lesser known varietals such as Feteasca Regala. The winery has a capacity of 12m litres, created in a state-of-the-art production facility.
Situated in western Romania just to the east of the town of Timisoara Cramele Recas is a very impressive new winery on an old site. In the last 10 years, both the vineyard and winery have been completely, and exhaustively modernised in order to be able to fully control the production process using the latest methods.
The winery has been fully fitted out with stainless steel, automatic temperature controlled tanks for fermenting and storing the wine. The primary vinification facility has been completely renewed with the best possible equipment for gently crushing, destemming, pressing the grapes- in order to be able to maintain all the quality in the grapes.
