Distilled by Rogue Society Distilling Co, Scapegrace is made from remarkably pure spring water sourced from the country's Southern Alps and 12 botanicals from around the world The spirit is batch-distilled using a restored 19th century copper whisky still, with each batch individually numbered.
Its name is a traditional word for rogue or rascal, and incorporates gin's murky history with a black-tinted bottle and a shape based on an antique genever bottle.
Juniper berries, coriander, nutmeg, cardamom, lemon peel, orange peel, orris root, cinnamon, cassia, angelica, clove and liquorice.
Nose: Bright citrus balanced by almost festive notes of cinnamon and pine.
Palate: Juniper really takes hold on the palate - big and bold with an oily touch to it. Cardamom, clove and cinnamon once again keep things enjoyably spicy.
Finish: Lasting lemon and juniper, plus just a hint of liquorice.
Premium tonic garnished with a slice of orange.
