St Abbs is the brain child of entrepreneur David Owens. David has a recent history in the rum world. He was involved in Takamaka (formerly Takamaka Bay) from the Seychelles.
St Abbs was a three-masted full-rigged wooden vessel. It was launched from the ship yards of Sunderland in 1848, spending her life chartered to the East India Company. In 1855 it sank along with its cargo which included the finest Caribbean rum destined for India.
The St Abbs Cask Silver expression is made with aged Trinidad rum which has been charcoal filtered before bottling. This means it can be used in cocktails without changing the hue of the drink, while keeping the yummy aged rum flavours!
Peanut brittle, fresh lime zest, dark chocolate and menthol.
