Thornborough Cider have been making small batches of award-winning cider from locally-sourced apples in the small village of Thornborough on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales since 2010.
The cider is hand-pressed each autumn on a traditional rack and cloth cider press only using selected local Yorkshire apples. It is then left to ferment with minimal intervention through the long Yorkshire winter before being bottled-conditioned in spring. The cider contains a careful blend of over 50 varieties of apple and, unlike most ciders, it is unsulphited, unpasteurised and unfiltered.
All the cider is sourced, pressed and bottled in North Yorkshire, making this a true Yorkshire cider – Thornborough don’t buy in apples from anywhere else! The end result is a refreshing dry sparkling Yorkshire cider that continues to develop its flavour in the bottle.
