Founded in 1892, Casa Silva is 100% owned and managed by the Silva Family, a family whose origins are from the heart of the Colchagua valley and they fiercely transfer the pride of their roots, respect for nature and the people of the Colchagua to the rest of the world.

The viticulture for Casa Silva Lago Ranco Riesling involves growing the 100% Riesling grapes on a volcanic soil hillside in the Osorno Valley of Chilean Patagonia, a cooler climate region. The vines are planted on slopes that face Lake Ranco, creating a special microclimate that allows the grapes to mature, with temperatures around 22-24 degrees C during ripening.

The vinification process for Casa Silva Lago Ranco Riesling involves a cold storage period, followed by a whole-grape pressing and fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature of 12-13 degrees C. The wine is then managed with its lees until bottling and is aged in 100% stainless steel tanks, with no oak influence.

The Casa Silva Lago Ranco Riesling is a dry, crisp, and complex white wine from southern Chile with notes of green apple, lime, and toast, complemented by a prominent mineral character and high acidity. It is described as vibrant and invigorating, with a fresh and tense yet well-rounded flavour profile,
