Chateau De Luc Corbieres Blanc

The Fabre Family have been producing wine in one way or another for over four hundred years since 1605. Sixteen generations later, and they now own five Châteaux in the Languedoc region of France: Grande Courtade, Tour de Rieux, Château Coulon, Château de Luc, Château Fabre Gasparets. In 1711, the family settled in Gasparets, near Narbonne, in the Aude department of France.

Louis Fabre is head of the family estate, having taken the reins in 1991, and has pioneered the conversion to organic farming, becoming one of the first Languedoc winemakers to do so. For generations, the Famille Fabre have cultivated an innate sense of invention and innovation, and openness to new ideas has become the backbone of their commitment to quality. From 2019, Louis has been joined by a new generation, including his daughters, Clémence and Jeanne, respectively in charge of export sales, and oenotourism.

Since 1991, Famille Fabre began converting to organic viticulture and today 100% of its vineyards are certified organic, producing concentrated, flavoursome wines with genuine provenance.

As part of a passion for sustaining centuries of winemaking tradition while incorporating the tenets of social equality, ecological responsibility, and economic viability, this is the reason the Famille Fabre estates decided to become HVE certified and certified fully organic by ECOCERT.

Roussanne, Grenache Blanc

80% Roussanne, 20% Grenache Blanc.

Rocky terraces on limestone-clay soils. Night-harvested to preserve aromatics. With a yield of 50hl/ha. The wine is stored on its lees after fermentation with regular bâtonnage to bring further complexity and roundness.

Textured, organic white from the very south of France.

A textured and nicely balanced white from the south of France with fleshy fruit, savoury complexity and a whole host of pretty floral aromas including honeysuckle. Fleshy, herbal, with a lovely mouthfeel and finish.

This would be great with fish and chips, or a barbecued trout stuffed with herbs.
