Producer Information

Charles and Mireille Greuzard moved from Burgundy to the Languedoc, “the new El Dorado” of wine in the 80’s. In 2001 they bought Domaine de L’ Herbe Sainte, the focus of their attentions ever since. Their daughter Christelle now plays an important role.

The reds of Chateau/Domaine de L’Herbe Sainte have a very full rich fruity style derived from ripe grapes and a determination to keep as much flavour as possible. Minimal filtering means that some wines leave a deposit.

The name Chateau can only be used for Appellation (Minervois) wines. The IGP wines use the Domaine name.

These old Cinsault vines are located on the very stony terroir "Los Roumpudos" which is made up of old glacial moraines.

To preserve the freshness of the rosé and protect from oxidation, the grapes are harvested in the coolness of the night.

Tasting Notes

The Cinsault comes from old vines and reveals notes of citrus, grapefruit, fresh fruit, strawberry and nectarine.

A great accompaniment for lounging around on a summers day. Try with tuna niçoise salad or smoked salmon.
