Finca el Nevado has 70 hectares of estate-owned vineyards, and a state of the art winery due their continuous investment in technology and innovation. Malbec,

The winery and vineyard are located by the Andes range, San Rafael, Mendoza Province. They can be found near an area of marsh on the north riverbank of Atuel River. At 34° 50° south latitude, east of San Rafael mountain range, at the foot of Cerro Negro hill.

The diverse properties of these lands give each of these wines a unique identity.

The soil is deep, permeable and poor in organic matter. These are key properties to produce great wine. Furthermore, the lands in the area are dry and arid, characterised by low levels of rainfall and moisture. This is important to keep the plant’s health throughout the year and the fruit at harvest time.

The growing area features sandy loam soil, which together with the weather characteristics of the region, promote proper ripening and aromas and colour richness. Here, in these lands, is where the vineyard’s charm begins.

Finca El Nevado “Chico Malo” Malbec is crafted in a modern, youth-centric style designed to emphasise fresh fruit and accessibility. Unlike the traditional focus of the estate’s older labels, the “Chico Malo” (literally “Bad Boy”) line is designed to break traditional winemaking schemes with an intense, playful personality—inspired directly by Perrin, a mischievous guard dog at the Mendoza winery.

The 100% Malbec grapes are grown in the high-altitude estate vineyards. The region provides intense sun exposure combined with cool mountain nights, building strong skin pigments and aromatic complexity. Hand-harvested during the peak coolness of autumn to ensure that the delicate plum and blackberry profiles do not degrade before reaching the crush pads.

The grapes are destemmed and gently crushed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The extraction process is carefully managed to maximize vibrant colour and primary fruit aromas while keeping the entry soft and smooth. Chico Malo balances its young personality with subtle oak contact – 50% of the blend is aged for 8 months, while another 25% consists of young wine and the remaining 25% is aged on French oak staves in vessels.

Bright ruby red with violet hues. On the nose, dried fruits, nuts, and a light touch of spice. Smooth tannins with a good presence of oak. On the palate, a soft, fruity entry with notes of vanilla and chocolate. A young and well-balanced wine.

Finca El Nevado “Chico Malo” Malbec pairs best with casual, flavourful, and slightly lighter meat dishes compared to more traditional, heavy oak-aged Reservas. Because Chico Malo is a young, vibrant wine focused on fresh plum and blackberry notes with smooth tannins and light touches of vanilla and chocolate, it pairs beautifully with foods that don’t overpower its bright fruit profile.


A classic beef or buffalo burger topped with melted Swiss, Monterey Jack, or a mild blue cheese perfectly complements the wine’s juicy texture and soft tannins.
