Producer Information

Gerard Thomas's domain is a family one, on which Gerard, the father, and his 2 daughters, Anne and Isabelle, who have recently joined the family winery, work. The quality of their wines is soaring. This domain, from an area of 12 hectares, stretches out on the communes of Saint-Aubin, Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet. Saint Aubin offers some of the best value in the Cote de Beaune; aromatic, oaky wines in the same style as their better known neighbours.

The day-to-day running of this fine domaine is now in the highly capable hands of Gerard's two daughters, Anne and Isabelle. Their technical training has resulted in fresher, purer wines with more precise flavours. In addition, all the wines are now barrel fermented and the quality of the Saint Aubin Champ Tirant has improved tremendously as a result.

Tasting Notes

Fresh and fruity with lovely, honeyed Chardonnay nose. The palate has good oak integration, fresh minerality and a long finish.
