In the 1960s, the winegrower José Pariente began the production of artisan white wines with a raw material of extraordinary quality: the Verdejo grape from his Rueda vineyards. He practiced thorough viticulture and believed in his land, in the quality and pleasure of making wine. His desire, to make great white wines, is the goal of the current winery, which his daughter Victoria Pariente founded in 1998.
Twenty years later, Bodegas José Pariente maintains a very clear roadmap: innovation and avant-garde, respect for the vineyard and its meticulous care, and the firm commitment to research and development.

Grapes

Garnacha, Tempranillo, Viognier

Production

A blend of Garnacha, Tempranillo & Viognier.

Both the grenache and the tempranillo come from old vines (1945 and 1960 respectively) with low yield. Whereas the viognier was planted in 1999.
The three varietals macerate separately but ferment together (for 4 months, in stainless steel tanks, with indigenous yeasts).
So this is a modern version of the Spanish Clarete, which traditionally blends white and red grapes.

Salmon pink colour. Intense aromas of flowers and red fruit (pomegranate and raspberry).Pleasantly soft and fruity on the palate, well-balanced by the tannins and the acidity. Long finish for a rosé, with notes of cherry.
