La Rifra is a family-run farm, present for over forty years in Pilandro in Desenzano del Garda. Since the beginning of its activity, in the seventies, the company has chosen to exploit above all the typical wine production of the territory, and to plant and cultivate the native vines: Trebbiano di Lugana and Marzemino, as well as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay.
For the cultivation of vineyards, the company does not use herbicides, works according to the methods established by European laws, and strictly adheres to the agri-environmental measure 10 for sustainability and respect for the environment. Established by the region.
Made from the Trebbiano di Soave vine (also known as Trebbiano di Lugana), to which most of their 14 hectares of land are dedicated.
Traditional vinification method and temperature control in fermentation, and refining of 4/5 months in the tank and 2/3 months in bottle.
This Lugana has a wonderfully floral nose with citrus and peach notes that invite you into the glass. On the palate it is mouth-filling and almost creamy, with flavours of soft peach, lemon peel and apple as well as tropical notes on the finish. Pairs well with fish dishes, chicken caesar salad as well as being a lovely drop on it's own.
Crab linguine is stunning with this wine.
