Some say that Indonesian rum was being crafted from sugar long before it was being made in the Caribbean. Nusa Cana Rum was created to honour that forgotten spirit using a blend of island rums, predominately from Bali. These rums were distilled using local sugar cane molasses and forest-filtered water, which was fermented with red rice and distilled in Chinese pot stills.
Nusa Cana Spiced Island rum is a fruit forward, sophisticated, dry spiced rum. Launched in 2020 Nusa Cana Spiced Island rum tells the story of the Indonesian Spiced islands and their influence on the origins of rum. Ginger, coffee & cacao are wrapped in the sweetness of pineapple, finished with the exotic warmth of nutmeg and clove.
Nose: Spiced-pineapple, fruit cake. Raw sugarcane. Coffee & chocolate undertones
Palate: Dry spiced rum. Pineapple sweetness. Clove. Deeper notes of coffee and cacao. A lasting lick of ginger, sugarcane and nutmeg.
Finish: Dry with plenty of pineapple and spice.
