Payten & Jones Mataro Manifest Icons Unauthorised

We love Payten & Jones' wines anyway (you can find more of them on our website and in-store), and when we saw this wine pop up on their Instagram it tickled us a lot. We dropped them DM asking how we could get hold of some & they were kind enough to sling a few dozen onto a pallet headed to these shores. That's how we ended up as the exclusive UK stockist of this wonderfully labelled, delicious, homage to a true legend of the internet. IYKYK.

Mataro, Mourvèdre, Monastrell - The same grape, just with a different name. Oh, and it's also known as Balzac.

Vintage 2024 was extremely memorable also. So to commemorate this vintage and variety, we thought we'd honour the memory of a legend who passed in 2024.

Lovely red fruit with supple but complex savoury edges from the 7 months on skins. A medium bodied red, excellent chilled for the warmer months or room temp in winter. Pair it with red sauce based meals or even better - a Succulent Chinese Meal.

This is an extremely limited wine - only 200 dozen made and we are already allocating out to our mates.
