Producer Information

Perrier Jouet was established in 1811 by Pierre-Nicolas-Marie Perrier in the town of Epernay, adding the maiden name of his wife, Ad le Jouet, to name the house.

In 1854 Perrier Jouet were the first house to release a dry style of Champagne, which would then be replicated across the region. It was also one of the first Houses to stamp the cork of its wines and add the initials PJ as proof of their authenticity.

Perrier-Jouet consists of sixty-five hectares of land rating 99.2% on the Cru scale and they carefully select the best plots of land giving pride of place to Chardonnay. This brings a delicacy to the Perrier Jouet style, a style said to have been favoured by Pierre-Nicolas-Marie, and a trait that can still be found in the wines of Perrier Jouet today.

This 2014-vintage Champagne from Perrier-Jouët has been made with a combination of 50% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir and 5% Pinot Meunier grapes to emphasise the unique character of its vintage.

A pale gold, clear and luminous. Delicate aromas of fruit – vine peach and poached pear – and linden and hawthorn blossom. Notes of juicy vine peach lend a fine texture, complemented by poached pear and rhubarb.
