Casa Santos Lima is the biggest producer from the Lisboa wine region, responsible for more than a third of the exports of the wine under appellation Vinho Regional Lisboa & DOC Alenquer.

Considerable investment ensures they have the top wine technology for continuous innovation making them one of the most globally decorated vineyards in terms of awards.

Casa Santos Lima is family owned (4th generation) with more than 350ha of vineyards. It was founded by Joaquim Santos Lima at the end of the 19th century who was already a well-known wine producer & exporter.

The Estate is formed by several “Quintas” all belonging to the family for longer than a century. They advanced greatly when Jose Luis Santos Lima (great grandson of the founder) left his financial full time job & started with their own brands & bottle plant.

Castelao, Camarate, Fernao Pires

Grown on clay-limestone soils with a vine density of 4,200 plants per hectare, these grapes benefit from the coastal influences of the Lisboa region. The harvest takes place from late August through September, capturing the perfect ripeness and aromatic expression of each variety.Crafted with total destemming and gentle crushing, fermentation unfolds in 10,000-liter stainless steel tanks with temperature control at 20°C. A partial skin maceration gives this wine its delicate structure and light ruby hue. It is bottled unoaked to preserve its fresh, fruit-forward character.

Aromatic and bright, this palhete-style red reveals enticing notes of strawberry and raspberry on the nose. The palate is lively and elegant, showcasing juicy red fruit, soft tannins, and a refreshing acidity. Light in body yet full of character, it's a versatile, gastronomic wine that shines when served slightly chilled.

Ideal as an aperitif, it pairs effortlessly with grilled meats, ceviche, sushi, seafood, vibrant salads, pasta dishes, and fatty fish. A true all-rounder with a refreshing twist.
