Ana Rola our "woman in wine" is born & bred in the Douro & since an early age knew that she wanted be a winemaker in the Douro Valley where she was raised. Here she can find originality, unbeatable terroir, knowledge & overcome the challenges in creating a wine that stands out from the crowd! The estate, Quinta de Remostias, remains from the XVIII century & is located in Peso da Regua, the center of Douro Valley. In 2014, Ana decided to leave her post as head wine maker at a large prestigious Douro winery to go it alone. She explains, after so many years doing what I love for others, I think it gets to a point that we think "why not do it for myself".
Rola Douro Tinto shows the fruit of a vineyard with character in the soil and the terroir of Douro at its best.

Tasting Notes
Rola Douro Tinto shows the fruit of a vineyard with character in the soil and the terroir of Douro at its best. This creates a wine, which is very concentrated on the nose, then revealing red fruit on the palate. The tannins are present, and bring the wine an incredible complex structure profile. The wine is balanced by a mark of freshness. Making it a very elegant wine.
This is a gastronomic wine that matches well with spicy sausages, BBQ's, red meats and vegetable casseroles.
