Producer Information

Florence and René-Henri both come from wine-making families in the Minervois. What makes them stand out is the way they don't only produce the wonderful intense red wines the region is best known for, but also succeed in producing modern more technical wines. The Viognier is a triumph - made to be fresh and elegant even in this warm part of France. The rosé is superb. The Minervois Les Eolides and La Liviniere are great exemples of Minervois at ils best. The Petit Verdot takes these traditional skills and applies them with a twist to grape better known in Bordeaux.

Production

The wine is aged for 10 months before bottling, 75% in stainless steel, 25% in oak casks.

Tasting Notes

Quite deep red, garnet colour tinged with purple. The nose is warm and complex: we discover with pleasure gourmet notes of blackberry and blueberry jam associated with delicate scents of spices and blond tobacco. Structured as desired, the mouth is beautifully balanced. The tannins are silky, supported by aromas of roasted coffee, liquorice and cinnamon. This aromatic complexity marks a certain persistence .
