WHITE FRENCH WINE CASE

We have curated two wine cases to supplement our French Season that celebrates the wine of France, to many people the greatest wine making nation on earth.

This case includes:

St Lannes Signature Gascogne Blanc
Both the Atlantic and the Pyrenees have a hand in infuencing the unique Gascogn climate: warm days and cool nights bring out the aromatic qualities of Colombard and Gros Mensang while maintaining fresh acidity.


Sebastien Vaillant Valencay
Valencay is unique in the Loire appelations because while Sauvignon is the dominant variety a small proportion of Chardonnay is allowed in the blend, adding texture and stone fruit to the citrus and herbaceous qualities of classic Central Loire Sauvignon


Jeremie Huchet Chapeau Melon Blanc
Jeremie Huchet is a 4th generation winemaker who has been practicing organic viticulture since the turn of the Millenium. Mostly Melon de Bougogne with a little Sauvignon, fermented in stainless steel and concrete for a fresh, sea-food worthy wine from where the Loire meets the Atlantic.


M. Chapoutier Bila-Haut Blanc Cotes Du Roussillon
Michel Chapoutier and Family make some of the most saught after wines in the Rhone, but they also manage an exceptional Rousillon site in Bila-Haut. A blend of Grenahce Blanc, Macabeu, Marsanne and Rousanne fermented in stainless steel to restain freshness: aromatic mineral and persistent.


Calmel & Joseph Villa Blanche Chardonnay
Calmel & Joseph are one of our favourite Southern French producers. Their bold, juicy Chardonnay is like a glass of Mediterranean sunshine, the product of 2 stages of harvest: 1/2 is harvested early to preserve freshness and acidity, 1/2 harvested 15 days later to bring ripe tropical fruit flavours, these are then blended and rested in oak for 3 months.


Boutinot Les Cerisiers Rose Cotes du Rhone-Villages
The Rhone wines of Boutinot have been on our shelves for 18 years and they consistently prove to be some of the best value wines we stock. The Cerisiers Rose is 85% Grenache, with the remainder Cinsault and Syrah, made with a delicate press on the skins and then vinified at low temperatures: cherry blossum and raspberry: elegant and moreish.
