Michel Forgeron VSOP Grande Champagne Cognac

One of the younger brands in the region, the first Michel Forgeron Cognac was released in 1977. The house speciality is single vintage releases bottled at high ABV, not typical of the category. The Forgeron family still manages the estate, living by Michel’s credo ‘work hard, produce better.’

The Michel Forgeron VSOP is a fantastically fresh and well-balanced Cognac that will transport you to a blissful summer's day upon enjoying the very first sip. Produced in the prestigious terroir of Grande Champagne this VSOP Cognac is an emblem of everything that is so great about the region. It contains a deliciously light blend of vintage eaux-de-vies, with the oldest of the blend dating back to 1998. Letting nature take its course, the house of Michel Forgeron has allowed each blend to age naturally in order to ensure, not just excellent, fine quality eaux-de-vie, but an environmentally-friendly approach to production too.

At the heart of this close knit family-run business are eco-friendly values and the importance of renewability, as the sons of Michel Forgeron; Pierre and Christophe excel in embracing the original roots and traditions of the family brand. Meanwhile they continue to invest in responsible development and a sustainable approach to the viticulture that takes place on their land within the Grande Champagne region.
