Product Information

Developed by Ian Macleod Distillers in 2006, the Smokehead is an intensely peaty range of single malts from undisclosed distilleries. Since its first release in 2006, there have now been many extensions of the brand, including the 2012 Smokehead Rock Edition as a limited release designed to "celebrate its credentials as the rock 'n' roll spirit of choice". In 2009 the brand began a long association with the Classic Rock Roll of Honour Awards, as well as the Marshall Ultimate Band Contest.

Smokehead continues to deliver punchy peat in style with this 15-year-old Islay single malt! A bigger sibling to the rest of the Smokehead range, it boasts a powerfully peaty profile, brimming with coastal spray and zesty lemons. A cracking find for all the smokeheads out there.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Charred herbs, bonfire smoke, salted lemons.

Palate: Powerful peat, pungent and smoky, with zesty citrus peels, buttery oak, and vanilla.

Finish: Coastal smoke and rich oak linger for a bold, long finish.
