Product Information

Milk & Honey are an urban distillery. Located in one of Tel Aviv’s up and coming neighborhoods. M&H is a part of the city’s fabric, among entrepreneurs and innovators, makers and artisans. The distillery was designed and built to be in the directors hometown, along with the beachfront, the lively markets and the architecture.

Israel’s 300 sunny days in an average year and the Mediterranean climate are the distilleries greatest advantage. Hot climate maturation means that the whisky ages rapidly, yet significantly, gracefully. Whisky made in warmer weather takes on specific terroir which yields unique flavors that somewhat differ from their Old-World counterparts. M&H's methods, technique and equipment carry on centuries-old knowledge and they keep the tradition of a minimum of three years of aging.

M&H Elements Red Wine Cask

60% Bourbon cask, 26% Red Wine cask, 10% STR cask, 4% Virgin Oak cask.

One of three expressions from the Milk & Honey Elements Series, which sees the Tel Aviv-based distillery's whisky aged in a variety of casks, imparting a medley of flavour profiles. This one in particular was aged in bourbon casks and red wine casks (which also came from Israel), bringing some ripe berry notes to the single malt.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Strawberry, dry barley, a hint of waxy orange peel and crunchy brown sugar.

Palate: Very slightly floral with citrus blossom, before redcurrant and raisin develop, with a pile of cinnamon sticks off to the side.

Finish: Plum, oak, and poached pear.
