Product Information

Maison Ferrand Owner and Master Distiller, Alexandre Gabriel works closely with distilleries across the Caribbean and America's crafting rums, they are left to age in warm Caribbean cellars for the initial part of their life. During the secondary process, the rums are exported to Cognac where they undergo a series of age old Cognac making techniques. This centuries old application is known by the French as 'elevage' and the process used is unique to Plantation. Vibrant, full flavoured Caribbean rums, finished with French finesse.

Plantation Jamaica 2007

Plantation’s Jamaica 2007 Vintage was produced at the legendary Clarendon distillery and enhanced by Ferrand’s double ageing technique. This unique expression is aged 13 years in the tropical climate of Jamaica and matured for another 2 years in French oak Ferrand casks in the southwest of France.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Intense tropical notes of banana, vanilla and allspice. Hints of Persimmon & orange peel evolve towards tar, sea spray and camphor.

Palate: Fruity profile with notes of cantaloupe, ripe guava and delicate spicy notes.

Finish: Toasted oak with cinnamon and liquorice notes then a fresh minty hint.
